Scenario 2: Including an Additional H1 Subject
For students who have taken a fourth content-based subject, their grade for this subject can be included in the calculation if it improves their overall score. When this is done, the total score is rebased to the 70-point scale.
Let’s look at a student who takes the standard three H2 subjects and one H1 subject, plus an additional H1 subject.
- Three H2 subjects: B, B, and C.
- Two H1 subjects: B and A.

Initial Total = 17.5 + 17.5 + 15 + 8.75 + 10 = 68.75 RP
