Top JC H2 Math Tuition for A-Level

Indigo’s H2 Mathematics Tuition curriculum for JC students is taught in accordance with MOE’s latest syllabus (9758) as well as our unique CSC Pedagogy. We believe in consistent progress, achieved through monitoring performances and providing detailed feedback, ensuring students stay on track and achieve their full potential in H2 Math.

1 in 2 students will score an 'A' for H2 Mathematics

At Indigo, our A-Level Math tuition programme is built on a simple conviction: that the right teaching, delivered by experienced tutors who know the syllabus inside out, makes the difference between getting through the course and genuinely mastering it. Just as grammar rules guide language, mathematical rules govern equations and problem-solving, and our role is to make sure students command those rules with clarity and confidence.

The results bear that out. In 2025, our students achieved a remarkable 73.5% distinction rate, significantly surpassing the national average of 52%. This is a reflection of what structured, expert instruction consistently produces.

For students looking to make a quantum leap in their grades and build a strong foundation for the A-Level H2 Mathematics exams and beyond, get in touch with our JC Math tuition centre. Experience a significant improvement in your grades and lay a strong foundation for JC Mathematics with our comprehensive A-Level Maths tuition programme in Singapore.

Our Approach to JC Math Tuition

At Indigo, our approach goes beyond syllabus coverage. We build genuine conceptual understanding through structured, scaffolded lessons that develop the problem-solving instincts and analytical rigour that H2 Math demands. From foundational topic mastery of difficult topics to higher-order application, every lesson at our tuition centre is designed to move students closer to confident, independent performance in the exam hall and beyond.

Math Paper 1

Paper 1 Components

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Marks: 100 (50% of total grade)
  • Consists of 10 to 12 questions of different lengths and marks
  • One question on the application of Mathematics in real-world contexts. (At least 12 marks)

How Can We Help

Paper 1 draws on the full breadth of the pure H2 Mathematics syllabus, from Functions and Graphs to Calculus and Trigometry. Our tutors ensure students develop a thorough command of every tested topic, building the problem-solving techniques and conceptual depth needed to tackle questions of varying structure and demand in the H2 Maths paper.

The compulsory application question requires students to contextualise mathematical reasoning within real-world scenarios, a skill that needs deliberate practice. At Indigo, students are regularly exposed to application-based questions that build the flexibility to interpret unfamiliar contexts and construct well-reasoned mathematical responses under exam conditions.

Marks in Paper 1 are often lost not through incorrect thinking, but through incomplete or poorly structured working. Our tutors place consistent emphasis on rigorous written communication, teaching students how to present their reasoning clearly, show key steps explicitly, and avoid the technical errors that cost marks even when the approach is sound.

Math Paper 2

Paper 2 Components

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Marks: 100 (50% of total grade)
  • Section A (Pure Mathematics – 40 marks) will consist of 4 to 5 questions of different lengths and marks.
  • Section B (Probability and Statistics – 60 marks) will consist of 6 to 8 questions of different lengths and marks.
  • One question in Section B on the application of Mathematics in real-world contexts. (At least 12 marks)

How Can We Help

Section B carries the majority of Paper 2 marks, and many students find the shift from pure Mathematics to statistical reasoning a significant adjustment. Indigo’s programme dedicates focused attention to Probability and Statistics, building the conceptual grounding and applied problem-solving skills students need to approach Section B with clarity and confidence.
Performing well in Paper 2 requires students to hold the full scope of the H2 syllabus in view, managing both pure Mathematics in Section A and statistical application in Section B within a single sitting. Our tutors help students develop the mental agility to transition between both, supported by tiered practice questions, topical revision notes, and access to past papers with model answers.
As examinations approach, Indigo provides structured revision programmes designed to consolidate understanding, address residual gaps, and sharpen time management. Students benefit from targeted exam preparation resources and the guidance of experienced tutors who know where marks are most commonly won and lost, giving them the strategic edge to perform at their best when it counts.

Frequently Asked Questions About H2 Math Tuition

Does Indigo H2 Math tuition emphasise difficult topics such as Calculus and Trigonometry?

Yes. Calculus and Trigonometry are among the most heavily weighted and commonly challenging topics in the H2 Math syllabus, and Indigo’s programme addresses them with dedicated, in-depth instruction. Students are guided through each concept systematically, building from foundational understanding to the kind of confident application that complex, multi-step exam questions demand.

What is the duration of each H2 Math tuition session?

Each H2 Math tuition session is 2 hours long, allowing ample time for in-depth concept explanation, problem-solving practice, and individualised attention from our experienced tutors.

What is the student-to-teacher ratio in H2 Math tuition classes?

At Indigo, we understand that every student’s learning preferences are unique, whether they’re joining us from our Secondary Math or IP Math tuition programmes or coming to us fresh at the JC level.

Each term is divided into learning stages to help pace students’ progress and enable them to achieve peak performance where it matters. Our structured lesson class sizes will vary all the time as students are always doing make-up in another class. We expect weekday classes to be smaller than weekend classes. There is no need to be concerned about the class being too big and students getting distracted, as our lessons have been primed to be captivating even to larger groups.

Are there make-up H2 Math classes for students who missed lessons?

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. That’s why we provide within-the-week physical replacement class and Video-on-Demand access for our students. If you miss a lesson or need to review a particular topic, you can access to the recorded session within 7 days on our LMS portal.
